Coordinator - Jena Derzi

Derzi
It has been my privilege to be a teacher for the past 25 years. Twenty-three of those years have been as a Physical Education teacher. I have taught and coached at all grade levels: high, middle and elementary.
I have been married for 29 years to Kelly Derzi who is also in education. We have two children: Jaime and Reid, and one wonderful, awesome, precious grandson, Hale.
My philosophy is that all students can and should be physically active on a daily basis. The fact is: you can be the smartest person in the world, but it won't matter if you don't take care of your body. Without a body, your brain has nowhere to live.
It is an honor to serve the students and teachers of Bibb County through this grant and I look forward to seeing the difference we can make as in young people's lives.
