Donna Jackson has been an educator in the Bibb County Public School District for 30 years and began her teaching career at Sonny Carter Elementary. After several years of successful teaching performance, her first administrative appointment was made as an assistant principal at Burghard Elementary, where she served for two years. She then moved to Porter Elementary, where she served two years as an assistant principal prior to becoming principal at the school for five years. After leaving Porter Elementary she served as principal of Heritage Elementary for five years. During the 2012-13 year, she was the Associate Superintendent of Zone 1 in the Bibb County School District. She served four years as the Springdale Elementary principal before becoming the Executive Officer of Elementary Schools.  She has served as the Executive Officer of Elementary Schools for six years and enjoys working with the elementary schools and principals.  "I am extremely excited about the opportunity to serve the students, parents, and stakeholders of the Bibb County School District. I will collaborate with all stakeholders as we work to build strength of character and ensure our students are college and career ready."

Mrs. Jackson earned a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education at Wesleyan College, and both Master's and Specialist Degrees in Educational Leadership at Georgia College and State University. She is a member of the Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE), was a participant at the Georgia Leadership for School Improvement (GLISI) in Atlanta, Georgia, Georgia Superintendents’ Association (GSSA) District Office Professional Development Program (DOPDP), AASA, The School Superintendents Association’s National Principal Supervisor Academy and volunteers with Girl Scouts of America. 

Among her numerous accolades, most notable is being chosen as Teacher of the Year at Sonny Carter Elementary in 1996, top three finalist for Bibb County Teacher of the Year in 1996, a Georgia Leadership for School Improvement (GLISI) Celebrity in 2004-2005, being honored as Georgia's Principal of the Year for the Visiting International Faculty (VIF) in 2006-2007, and the Georgia Learning Resource System (GLRS) Special Education Impact Award in 2012.  Under her leadership, Springdale earned the Silver Greatest Gains Award, Beat the Odds, and earned a 98.8 CCRPI for continuous growth in student achievement.

She resides in Macon with her husband and two children.  Her daughter Maddie attended UGA and is now the Youth Minister at Martha Bowman United Methodist Church. Her son Shaw recently completed his first year at Georgia College and State University.  Both of her children were students in the Bibb County Public School System. Mrs. Jackson relishes the time she spends with her family traveling, gardening, as well as attending church at Martha Bowman United Methodist Church, football games, school functions and other family-oriented events.
