Acceptance into the Fine Arts Magnet Program and the International Baccalaureate Programme is based on a successful interview, audition, and/or essay. An open house will be held at the Central Fine Arts Magnet High School before the application deadline on:
Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 9:30 a.m.
Required interviews and auditions for the Fine Arts Magnet Program will take place on February 8, 2017 between the hours of 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. The required International Baccalaureate Programme essay will be administered on February 9, 2017 between the hours of 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. A parent/guardian of each magnet school applicant will be notified regarding their child’s status on February 13, 2017. The last day for parents to notify Central Fine Arts Magnet High school of acceptance of a slot based on the results of the interviews, auditions, and/or essays is February 27, 2017.
The Fine Arts Program at Central Fine Arts Magnet High School centers around excellence in Band, Chorus, Dance, Orchestra, Theatre, and Visual Arts. The International Baccalaureate Programme encourages academic success for each individual student.
