Welcome to Alexander II Magnet School

  • Greetings from Bertha Caldwell, Principal

Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year. On behalf of the Alexander II Math and Science Magnet School community, it is my pleasure to extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to you as we begin the new school year. To the students and families who are new to Alex II, we extend an especially warm welcome and wishes for an exciting and productive year in your new school. We hope that you will quickly feel at home and become involved in the many volunteer opportunities that we have available. At Alexander II we believe parent involvement increases student success. I will continue to work diligently with parents and faculty to foster an atmosphere that promotes a learning community characterized by student centered instruction and decisions, academic excellence, trust, respect, community involvement, excellent communication, and recognition of both student and staff achievement. I am committed to working in collaboration with you to continue to develop and implement our district and school mission: Each student demonstrates strength of character and is college or career ready. Working together as a team we will move forward in this mission. At Alexander II we have so much to be proud of as a staff, family, and community. I am looking forward to an exciting year, promoting a culture of excellence at our school.
