  • On March 2, Dr. Seuss’ birthday will be celebrated schoolwide at Bernd! Students will be allowed to wear hats and backwards/inside-out clothes. All clothing MUST be in dress code! We will be celebrating the author of over sixty children’s books, as we focus on Bernd’s reading initiatives.

  • On April 29, 2017 from 9 A.M.-3:30 P.M.,there will be a S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Math) workshop available to 3rd-8th grade females at the Hutchings College and Career Academy for $35. Some of the workshops include coding, game design, chemistry, bio-medical, construction, & robotics. Students will receive a shirt and a lunch. To register, please visit www.realimpactcenter.org

HEADLINES

  • P.B.I.S. Event for January

    Students who demonstrated positive behavior in January were able to attend the P.B.I.S. event. At the beginning, students participated in a dance off! Winners were awarded a trophy and some treats. Then, everyone participated in a dance.

  • P.B.I.S. Event

    Students who exhibited positive behavior in October attended the P.B.I.S. event on Friday. They had opportunities to explore different stations such as making apple volcanoes, building towers out of cups, building houses out of candy and toothpicks, creating and decoding messages, building catapults, and creating spiders out of pipe cleaners.

  • Career Day

    We thank those in our community who contributed to a successful Career Day at Bernd Elementary! The students enjoyed getting exposed to a variety of professions.
